Intel CPU, PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE = AMD64? - Tom's Hardware Forum
For example, it correctly recognizes my Intel CPU under "PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER" with the value "Intel64 Family 6 Model 42 Stepping 7, GenuineIntel." However, in the box above that one, named "PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE" the value is "AMD64." I do have an AMD graphics card, so the other AMD folder paths weren't bothering me, but this cant be right...

Best CPU Architecture? - Tom's Hardware Forum
Well, after a while- about the late 90's to 2000- x86 won out. Then in the early 2000s, AMD launched AMD64 and that has been the dominant performance architecture for a decade. ARM is gaining a lot of adoption because it has a much better power/performance ratio making it good for mobile devices.

PS4 specs compared to PC - Tom's Hardware Forum
So what x86 cpu architecture exactly means for future of pc gaming..? Easier porting of multiplatform games? If its still going to be ported to pc (which make sense) is it going to be much more easier to do-translate- we could get much more optimized games that can show more power on pc then current gen games in this cycle?
